After the Oklahoma State Cowboys fell to the Baylor Bears on Saturday, any glimmer of hope for the Oklahoma Sooners to host College Gameday or kick off in the evening flew out the window. Instead, Boston College will host the weekly program and face Clemson in prime time, while Bedlam will kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT on ABC.
All things considered, this is fine. Once OSU fell, I had a horrible feeling that Bedlam would be stuck with an 11 a.m. kickoff, so I’m certainly thankful for the afternoon time slot. Having said that, the streak of OU missing out on an evening kick for a Norman Bedlam game lives on.
This is the third consecutive 2:30 p.m. kickoff for an OU home game, so we should all have our routines down by now. We should all be seasoned veterans at transitioning from Bloody Marys/mimosas to beer/whiskey. Add in the fact that this is a Bedlam game, and the pregame festivities should be on point. Get down there early and tailgate like a champion!
