Fort Lauderdale, Fl – The Oklahoma Sooners took to the practice field at Florida Atlantic University on Wednesday afternoon in preparation for their College Football Playoff Semifinal match-up with the Alabama Crimson Tide. Much of the focus heading into the game is the health of Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Kyler Murray and Marquise Brown. Murray missed the morning’s interview sessions with an undisclosed illness, but was in pads at practice during the afternoon.
Marquise Brown also went through drills in pads as he continues to rehab a leg injury sustained in the Big 12 title game vs Texas, earlier this month. Offensive Coordinator Cale Gundy knows that he has plenty of weapons at his and Lincoln Riley’s disposal.
“When you look at the big picture, when you’ve got an offensive line that’s been there for a lot of years, a lot of starts, best offensive line in the country, one of the best offensive lines in the country where you’ve brought back a lot of the same receiving corps, a lot of the same running backs, Kyler was going to be put in a good situation”
