NORMAN — The Oklahoma volleyball team hits the road for a midweek contest on Wednesday, traveling to Lubbock, Texas, to face Texas Tech.
The second meeting of the year between the Sooners (13-10, 5-6 Big 12) and the Red Raiders (16-9, 5-6 Big 12), Wednesday’s match is set for a 6 p.m. first serve on Fox Sports Southwest.

Last Time Out
OU dropped a 3-1 contest against RV Baylor on Saturday night in Norman. After Baylor won the first set 25-20, the Sooners tied it up with a wild 36-34 win in set two. The 36-34 period is the second longest in OU history during the 25-point rally scoring era (2008-present), second only to a 37-35 second set against North Dakota State on Sept. 1, 2012. However, the Bears closed it out with 27-25 and 25-21 wins in the final frames.
Senior Alyssa Enneking and sophomore Kylee McLaughlin both finished the contest with double-doubles, their 14th and 11th of the season, respectively. Enneking totaled 21 kills and 11 digs while McLaughlin led the match with 41 assists and added 10 digs. Brianna Kadiku and Sarah Sanders led the match with nine blocks apiece, a career high for Sanders. Keyton Kinley paced the Sooners with 27 digs, her highest total in a four-set match this season.

With 4.91 digs per set this season, Keyton Kinley currently ranks 59th nationally. She ranks fifth nationally among athletes in Power Five conferences, trailing Iowa’s Molly Kelly (5.07), Michigan’s Jenna Lerg (5.07), Arkansas’ Okiana Valle (5.04) and Notre Dame’s Ryann DeJarld (5.01).
Kinley currently leads the Big 12 with 4.91 digs per set and 432 total digs in all matches this season. Additionally, she ranks first in the conference with 5.69 digs per set and 239 total digs in league matches.
Previewing Texas Tech
OU leads the all-time series with Texas Tech 38-35 after claiming a 3-1 win on Oct. 10. The Sooners have won the last six meetings and 25 of the last 26. Currently 16-9 (5-6 Big 12), the Red Raiders have lost six of their last seven matches in Big 12 play.
Emily Hill leads TTU with 3.21 kills per set while adding 2.69 digs per set, second most on the team behind libero Emerson Solano’s 4.09. Setter Missy Owens is averaging 10.28 assists per set, and middle blockers Katy Keenan and Allison White lead TTU with 1.18 and 1.04 blocks per set, respectively.

The Sooners return to McCasland Field House on Friday to host TCU. Prior to the contest, OU volleyball will recognize seniors Audrey Alford, Madison Drescher, Alyssa Enneking, Morgan Miller and Valerie Woody (medical retiree) for Senior Night.
The match is set for a 7 p.m. first serve, and tickets are on sale now. Fans that show their ticket for Saturday’s football game against Oklahoma State will receive free admission to Friday’s volleyball match.
