VIDEO: Oklahoma FB Blatantly Caught Grabbing at Texas Players’ Junk

A bad start to the day turned odd for the Oklahoma Sooners as they took on the Texas Longhorns on Saturday. The No. 7 Sooners trailed the 19th ranked Longhorns 45-24 entering the fourth quarter, obviously unprepared for a tough and pumped up squad heading into enemy territory. To add another dimension to the beatdown, the third quarter saw something truly bizarre occur. Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray fumbled the ball mid-scramble, leaving the ball in the hands of a Texas defender. In an attempt to regain the football, one Sooner made a really odd move. Check it out below:

As you can see, No. 45 in red comes in after the play and attacks the defender who recovered the fumble. The only problem is that he wasn’t taking the usual route to get to the football…he was shoving his hand right in between the dude’s legs.

That’s definitely not how you’re supposed to do it.

The Sooners’ website lists No. 45 as fullback Carson Meier. It’s probably best that they give Mr. Meier another few lessons on how to strip the ball. The football.

Oklahoma desperately needs to find a way to get back into the game against Texas, but they won’t be able to do that if they can’t identify the right game equipment.
