NORMAN While not reserved only for this day, Veterans Day provides a special opportunity for us to thank those who have served and continue to serve our country.
This weekend, OU teamed up some of its partners for some special moments to recognize our veterans.
Head coach Lincoln Riley had the privilege of meeting Colonel BP McCoy, a University of Oklahoma graduate who led the 3rd Battalion 4th Marine Regiment through two combat tours in Iraq. McCoy’s Marine unit was the first to enter Baghdad in 2003 and pulled down the statue of Saddam Hussein.
