NORMAN, Okla. — We’re now heading down the home stretch of the National Football League season. Teams went through week 15 of play over the last few days as the playoff picture starts to become clearer.
Multiple former Sooners were involved in two crucial one-point games, including 2017 Heisman Trophy winner and potential Rookie of the Year candidate Baker Mayfield.
“We are not there yet,” Mayfield said after the Cleveland Browns’ 17-16 victory at Denver. “We are not satisfied, but there is progress, and that is something not to take very lightly. To realize what we have and to continue to do that and build on it. Not be satisfied with how we are doing that. Continue to find ways to improve and get better. Ever sense I have been comfortable enough, kind of let my personality show and let all of that go, we have started to see everybody else do that, and it is a culture change.”
Others, as the previous 14 weeks, played roles in many of the remaining contests as well. In all, thirty Sooners are on NFL rosters, on a total of 19 different teams.
There are multiple Sooners that have been in the league for more than a decade. And then four of them come from the latest NFL Draft, including Mayfield.
OUInsider.com now takes a look at how all of them fared in their 14th games of an exciting 2018 season.
