NORMAN – The University of Oklahoma men’s gymnastics team will hold its annual Crimson and Cream intrasquad scrimmage at 1 p.m. CT on Saturday at the Sam Viersen Gymnastics Center. Admission is free and open to the public.
Members of the 2019 Sooners will compete against each other on all six events, giving OU fans a glimpse of new routines that the preseason No.1-ranked squad will use as it seeks to defend its four straight national titles.
From their 2018 national championship team, the Sooners return senior Yul Moldauer, who won four individual national titles in 2018 including the all-around crown. All-Americans Levi Anderson (AA, HB), Tanner Justus (VT) and Genki Suzuki (PH) also return in 2019 for Oklahoma.
Additionally, season ticket holders who purchased their season tickets before National Gymnastics Day on Sept. 15 will receive free t-shirts. Seasonal snacks will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis and immediately following the scrimmage, fans can meet the student-athletes who will be available for autographs.
OU kicks off its 2019 campaign in Colorado Springs, Colo., at the Rocky Mountain Open on Jan. 12. The home opener is set for Jan. 19 against Air Force and Arizona State.
Season tickets for all four regular-season home meets are on sale now and can be purchased by calling the University of Oklahoma Ticket Office at (405) 325-2424 or toll free at (800) 456-GoOU. Tickets can also be ordered online by visiting SoonerSports.com/tickets.
