AUBURN, Ala. — Oklahoma closed out its five-game road swing on Sunday falling to Auburn, 95-79, inside Auburn Arena in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge.
The Sooners (2-5) knocked down 10 3-pointers and were led by a season-high 27 points from Taylor Robertson, but it would not be enough as the Tigers (6-1) hit a school record 13 treys against Oklahoma.
Robertson finished with seven 3-pointers for third time this season on 9-of-18 shooting. The freshman has 15 triples in the last two games, tying a school record.
Jessi Murcer scored in double figures for the fifth time this season, scoring 15 points off the bench on 5-of-9 shooting. Shaina Pellington added 11 points, four assists and three steals.
Madi Williams picked up her third double-double of the season, recording 10 points and logging a season-high 16 rebounds in 38 minutes.
OU jumped out to a 24-17 after the opening frame, but the Sooners were outscored by a 27-6 margin by Auburn in the second quarter.
The Sooners cut the Auburn lead down to 54-49 midway through the third quarter, but the Tigers answered with a pair of 3-pointers to push their lead back to double figures.
Daisa Alexander led the Tigers with 19 points as one of five Auburn players in double figures. Robin Benton, Crystal Primm and Unique Thompson each added 14 points for the Tigers.
OU finished with a .459 field goal percentage and posted a .435 clip from beyond the arc. The Sooners hit at least 10 3-pointers for the fourth time this season. Auburn was 36-of-74 (.486) from the floor and finished 13-of-29 (.448) from 3-point range.
