Oklahoma NFL: Baker Mayfield was dangerous, Sterling Shepard was clutch

A week after a loss to AFC-best Kansas City, Baker Mayfield led the Browns to their third win of the season in convincing fashion at home over the Atlanta Falcons. The former Oklahoma Sooners legend, in his own words when speaking with media after the game, said he woke up “feeling pretty dangerous” on game day, and he wasted little time before unleashing his talents on the shellshocked Falcons from the get-go.

Mayfield began the game completing his first 13 passes and went 17-of-20 overall, amassing 216 passing yards and three touchdowns, along 20 rushing yards on six attempts in the 28-16 win. His passer rating of 151.3 is also the highest-ever in NFL history for a rookie quarterback with at least 20 passing attempts.

Here are all three touchdowns from Baker the Touchdown Maker:

Dede Westbrook caught five passes for 30 yards and added two rushes for 13 yards in the Jaguars’ loss to the Colts. His teammate Blake Bell caught two passes for 27 yards in the effort.

Adrian Peterson carried the ball 19 times for 68 yards in Washington’s win over the Bucs.

Gerald McCoy recorded a tackle and a sack on the other side for the Buccaneers.
