Points started out little by little for the Oklahoma Sooners (2-) on an additional cold afternoon, but the bats heated up and lifted OU to a 9-3 get over Cal Poly (-2).
In his first get started of the period, junior Nathan Wiles gained the get though allowing for 3 runs (two gained) on nine hits and a wander in 7. innings of function. Just after a slow working day at the plate on Friday, nine different players recorded hits for the Sooners on Saturday, as sophomores Justin Mitchell and Jordan Vujovich led the way at the plate with two hits apiece. Mitchell recorded a double and an RBI triple though Vujovich — who arrived in to swap Tanner Tredaway — experienced an two-RBI single and a double in his first OU motion.
Cal Poly got things likely in their first frame at the plate, as Elijah Greene achieved on a throwing mistake and was driven property by a Bradlee Beesley double on the future at-bat. OU loaded the bases in the bottom 50 % with nobody out, but OU was unable to capitalize.
The Sooners were being ready to get things likely in the 2nd when Mitchell led things off with a double down the line in ideal. Oklahoma broke it open up in the bottom of the sixth with four runs on 3 hits, which include an RBI triple down the ideal discipline line for Mitchell. Lindsly and Conor McKenna each recorded their first hits of the period in the inning, as perfectly.
Cal Poly responded with a pair of runs in the best of the seventh, but OU added 1 of their possess in the bottom of the eighth when Walla drove Brewster from 3rd property with a single.
