Oklahoma came into the early signing period with 19 commitments. The Sooners added a 20th Wednesday as four-star defensive back Jeremiah Criddell committed to OU on ESPN2’s National Signing Day show.
Criddell, 5-foot-11 and 188 pounds, punctuated his announcement by saying “Boomer Sooner” and flashing the Horns Down hand signal.

Criddell attends Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California. He’s the 12th-ranked safety in the 2019 class and the 124th-ranked overall prospect, according to the 247Sports composite.
He picked Oklahoma over Oregon, the school he was previously committed to. Criddell decommitted from the Ducks on Nov. 28, but was still considering them.
Oklahoma’s 2019 class is ranked eighth nationally.
