The No. 13 OT recruit in the class of 2019 is officially headed to Norman. 4-star OT Stacey Wilkins, a Camden, Ark. native, signed his National Letter of Intent to play for Lincoln Riley and the Oklahoma Sooners on Wednesday. Wilkins held offers from a long list of big-name programs including Alabama, Arkansas, Clemson, Georgia, Florida, Texas, Texas A&M, USC, and Notre Dame.
247Sports Composite rankings have Wilkins listed as the No. 125 overall recruit in the class of 2019 and OU’s top offensive line recruit this year. He is listed at 6’6.5” 271 pounds and 5.04 40-yard dash, which is not too shabby given his size.
Oklahoma was the second power-five school to offer him (Arkansas was the first) and he committed to OU on August 3, 2018.
Wilkins looks like about as close to a sure-thing as you can get in an offensive line recruit. He has the size and athleticism to join OU’s long line of successful offensive linemen. It won’t shock many people if Wilkins eventually goes on to play in the NFL after a few years under the tutelage of Bill Bedenbaugh.
