Oklahoma’s Kyler Murray has been named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year by a vote from the league’s coaches.
Murray, who is expected to be a Heisman Trophy finalist next month, has thrown for 3,674 yards and 37 touchdowns while completing 71 percent of his passes. He’s also rushed for 853 yards and 11 scores.
Oklahoma’s Austin Seibert was also honored by the league on Wednesday, earning Special Teams Player of the Year honors for his work as OU’s kicker and punter this season. Dru Samia (Offensive Lineman of the Year) and Lincoln Riley (Coach of the Year) tied for first in their respective awards.

Oklahoma claimed seven spots on the All Big 12 first team, though none were on defense:
Linebacker Kenneth Murray did make the cut for the second team, leading four Sooners to those honors. Cornerback Tre Brown also made it, but as a special teams player.
