NORMAN, Okla. — Oklahoma’s Austin Seibert kicked his way into the history books on Saturday against in-state rival Oklahoma State.
Seibert broke the Oklahoma and Big 12 all-time scoring records with a field goal in the first half of Bedlam, passing former Sooners kicker Michael Hunnicutt. He now has 451 career points:
Seibert has had a prolific career for the Sooners as both their kicker and punter for four years. For his career entering Bedlam, Seibert has made 281 of 285 extra-point attempts (98.6 percent) and 55 of 71 field goals (77.5 percent.)
So far this season, Seibert is perfect on extra points and has made 9 of 11 field goal tries.
Former running back DeMarco Murray is at the top of Oklahoma’s list among non-kickers, with 390 career points.
